My name is Erin Kelley, and I’m addicted to floral patterns.
There, I said it. You wouldn’t believe how many different sizes and shapes and colors of floral prints I have stashed away in my closet. From abstracted poppies to retro-tropical hibiscus, my attire at times tends more towards garden than wardrobe.
But despite the fact that I have an abundance of these prints already, I simply cannot resist when I come across a really brilliant flower scheme. Such was the case with this striking graphic daisy print jacket, which I came across in my favorite Portland vintage boutique–Three Penny Mercantile. Originally this jacket was part of a separates set, with a matching skirt. I felt, however, that the thing to do was to let the pattern breathe–and let the jacket really do the talking.
While I love how bold and summery this jacket looks when paired with a linen romper, I think it will also be a great piece for transitioning to fall– worn belted over black pants. Indeed, I think it’s the perfect way of transitioning florals into fall.
What do you say? Need your own retro-floral fix? Check out the lovely assortment at Three Penny Mercantile! And have a great weekend!
