In continuation of the Town & Country adventure that Erin and I recently took with our SOREL boots, say hello to my favorite style, the Conquest Carly. Dare I say it’s the hardest working SOREL boot? (Well, at least it is in my personal opinion). This boot is the epitome of fashion meets function. There are so many details about this shoe that make it completely fashion forward, yet it’s totally reliable in torrential Portland downpours, the occasional snowpocalypse, or just for keeping my feet nice and toasty when the heat isn’t working at the office (new building woes). These boots even came in handy while tromping around my Grandmother’s farm.
Now, I also have a pair of SORELLINGTON’s (SOREL’s personal take on the wellie boot) which I absolutely love, but the practicality of the Conquest Carly boot combined with the shorter length makes it an even more versatile shoe–and perfect for the Northwest.

But you don’t have to take my word for it… the Conquest Carly was also a celeb favorite at the recent Sundance Film Festival. Check out January Jones and Kristen Bell rocking the tall and short version.
Town

For a city appropriate look, I paired them with a good ‘ole skinny jean and sweater, creating a put-together look that reads less as “I just came from the farm” and more as “I can walk allover this city and my feet are going to remain perfectly dry.”

Country

(Pants: Portland Pendleton Collection, Sweater: Vintage Pendleton, Hat: Woolrich)
For a country look, I decided to wear my Oregon-pride on my sleeve. Literally. It just so happens that some of my warmest pieces are made by Oregon-based companies!
Because of their shorter height, I think these boots look great with a more fitted pant that can be tucked into them. Pendleton’s Portland Collection wool riding pant was the perfect solution; fitted, yet still incredibly warm. It also helped that I borrowed (read: stole) my fiancé’s Woolrich hat that can keep you warm even in the frozen tundra of Green Bay, WI.
Now that we’ve shown you how versatile SOREL boots can be, we’d like to know what’s your favorite style? Do you have a pair already that you can’t get enough of?

Fantastic looks! I guess my next investment is going to have to be a pair of Sorel’s. I can’t believe I don’t actually own a pair. I do own 2 pairs of Rieker boots that I live in this time of year because they are versatile, look nice & are still so warm & comfy (they are fully lined). Oh & Love your cuff Sarah! Thanks so much for wearing it!!!
